Alisha Rodrigues

Hi my name is Alisha, and I’ve owned Lavish Salon since June 2, 2015. I opened my doors wanting to share my knowledge on curly hair and spread diversity through out this industry. I fell in love with doing hair at the age of 13 while being the one friend that did everyone’s hair after school, for school dances, proms, weddings, etc. Braiding is what really what got me into this industry as I use to work in multiple barbershops while I was still in school, corn braiding designs, locks, box braids, sew in weaves, etc. I worked as a makeup artist and hairstylist on multiple music videos and magazine covers. I was the head director of hair and makeup or Boston En Vogue Fashion Week, worked on Rhode Island Style Week, Providence Fashion Week, and Rhode Island Fashion Week for several years. I worked with Olaplex as an advocate since 2017, traveled to LA and Hawaii twice for exclusive conferences. I was featured in Modern Salon Magazine in 2019 as one of the Top 100 Stylists in the country. I’m honored to be a part of the Modern Salon’s Artistic Connective Team. In 2017 I was feature in an article in the Boston Voyager, and in 2016 I was featured in the Providence Journal. In 2023 I won Best Haircut in Cosmoprof’s Licensed to Create Awards. I’ve taken multiple private exclusive class with celebrity stylist such as Chris Appleton, Tracey Cunningham, and Kim Kimble. I’m Brazilian Blowout certified, Keratin Complex Certified, Certified in Neo Microlink Extensions, Olaplex Certified.

In 2025 I launched Lavish Curls Academy. I train and certify hairstylist how to cut and style curly hair followed by 2 other classes I offer. One class is a Mommy/Daddy and Me Class where I teach the parents how to wash, style, and maintain their child’s curly hair, as well as another class where I help anyone with curly hair to manage their own hair. I”ve been training and certifying hairstylist how to cut curly hair for over 10 years with 20 years of experience. I love this industry and the amazing clients I meet along the way! Nothing is better than helping someone fall in love with their hair all over again.
